Meet Candis & Madison from Biig Gal Energy, a plant-based cooking service focusing on bold, fun flavors and saving the world, and this week's Rebel's With A Cause.
Candis and Madison have created Biig Gal Energy with the goal of breaking stigmas, by creating a service that didn't exist. Biig Gal Energy is helping people who are looking to transition to being vegan as well as providing food options for those who are already vegan and/or gluten free. Sounds fresh right? That's because it is!
We sat down with Candis and Madison to see what makes them tick and why they do what they do.
What makes you feel the most authentically you?
Creating a brand that’s customized specifically to both our wants, needs, and dreams and being able to share it with our clients. Knowing the positive effects each meal has on that person, the planet, and the lives living upon it gives us a true sense of alignment.
What does being authentic mean to you?
Not always falling in line. We all have unique gifts, and only when we are authentically ourselves can we discover them and share them.
What are you proud to support?
Sustainability, health, our gals, our humans, our animals!
What are you proud to rebel against?
THE MAN! Lol but on a serious note as a business, we proudly rebel against food standards in the US, what meat-consumption is doing to our beautiful planet& health, and the devastating effects it has on the people and animals of the world.
What is your favorite quirk about Biig Gal Energy?
Our favorite quirk about our business is that we offer a new menu weekly so our people don’t get bored. We feel like we set ourselves apart by our branding as well, it’s very different than other cooking services.
Why is it important for women to support other women?
We believe in supporting women because women alone can have power but when we come together is when we have impact. Throughout history we haven’t been given the same opportunities as men, especially women of color. It’s 2020, Gotta break through that wage gap baby.
What does the Lady Jays lifestyle mean to you?
Carefree, bad-ass women standing up for what they believe in while wearing a very good outfit.
